Bridges to Brighter Futures

Bridges to Brighter Futures (BTBF) is a child and youth crime prevention, education and early intervention program which includes targeted community engagement initiatives led by the Calgary Police Service in collaboration with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation.

These initiatives offer an opportunity for children, youth, and their families to connect with the Calgary Police Service in a positive way in the communities where they live.

In 2025, initiatives included Bike Safety Days, Meet the Police community events, Operation Empowering Youth, Operation Snack Time, the Caribbean Youth Summit, Youth Hoops Basketball Tournament, Camp Courage Calgary and more, all with one common program goal – building safer communities.

6,750 Backpacks provided to Indigenous and marginalized students in Calgary

Young women, girls and gender diverse youth attended Camp Courage Calgary to explore a career as a first responder

2,100 Holiday Hampers being provided to children, youth and families in need
