Bridges to Brighter Futures

Bridges to Brighter Futures is a child and youth crime prevention, education and intervention Program which includes multiple and targeted community engagement initiatives led by the Calgary Police Service in collaboration with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation.

The commonality among all these initiatives is that there is an opportunity for children, youth, and their families to connect with the Calgary Police Service in a positive way in the communities where they live.

Community Initiatives Included in Bridges to Brighter Futures:

820 Backpacks provided to Indigenous and marginalized students in Calgary

Projects led by the CPS Diversity Unit to engage marginalized communities

400 Summer Hampers and 1,000 Holiday Hampers being provided to children, youth and families in need

15 Youth will attend YouthLink Calgary summer camp and 24 young women will attend Camp Courage

CPS District Office Initiatives led by Officers that address the needs of the communities they serve

 CPS and CPYF are partnering to create a traffic safety video series aimed at keeping students and new drivers safe on the road
