THANK YOU FOR JOINING US TODAY!
We hope you had a great time hunting for eggs, enjoying the petting zoo, and meeting members of the Calgary Police Service.
From all of us at the Calgary Police Youth Foundation, we hope you have an amazing Easter celebrating with your friends and family.

Event Background:
While searching for a way to help his daughter, Rachel, participate independently in an Easter egg hunt, David Hyche reached out to the Blind Children’s Center in Los Angeles about their Easter eggs that emit audible electronic beeps. With help from the centre, he constructed 40 eggs and hosted an accessible Easter egg hunt in 2005. Since then, David’s small initiative grew into what is now known as ‘The Rachel Project’ with accessible Easter egg hunts being offered throughout North America.
After being piloted in Alberta by the Edmonton Police Service in 2022, we are excited to work with the Calgary Police Service and CNIB to once again bring this project to the Calgary community in 2024.
About Bridges to Brighter Futures:
This event is one of many initiatives in 2024 between the Calgary Police Youth Foundation and the Calgary Police Service as part of the Bridges to Brighter Futures program – proudly supported by the Shaw Family Foundation. Bridges to Brighter Futures provides children and youth the opportunity to positively interact with CPS officers in their community while learning about staying safe from victimisation and crime.
