Katherine was born and raised in Calgary, where she first discovered her love of athletics. She competed at the NCAA university level in the United States on a track and field scholarship as a 400-meter hurdler, before going on to complete her Master of Business Administration, Juris Doctorate, and Master of Laws degrees.

Katherine returned to Calgary to build her legal career and is now a Partner at Harper Lee Law, practicing civil litigation, corporate-commercial law, defamation, and energy law. She also serves as Vice President of the Calgary Women’s Soccer Association after previously serving as a Director.

Alongside her legal and board work, Katherine has never stepped away from elite sport. A semi-professional soccer player in both the United States and England earlier in her career, she has gone on to represent Canada at the Hyrox World Championships and has earned recognition as a Hyrox Elite 15 Athlete. She is currently training to compete for Canada in flag football at the 2028 Olympics and is proud to bring her unique combination of legal expertise, elite athletic achievement, and community leadership to her role as a Director with the Calgary Police Youth Foundation, supporting its mission to invest in the next generation of Calgarians.
