Andrea Froese is a litigation partner at Bennett Jones LLP, practicing for more than 25 years.   Andrea serves as external legal counsel to the Chief Constable of the Calgary Police Service, advising on legal, policy and strategy matters, and has assisted various other municipal and policing organizations on police law matters.  She has extensive experience in healthcare law, representing medical practitioners in civil litigation and professional disciplinary matters.  Andrea has lectured at national and provincial conferences and at the University of Calgary on medical negligence and physician health and wellness issues. She has been ranked by Lexpert Magazine and Chambers Canada for her expertise in medical negligence and healthcare law.  

Andrea is President of the Medical Legal Society of Calgary, and is a Volunteer Member of the Conduct Committee of the Law Society of Alberta.  She is Past Chair of her firm’s Associate Review Committee, and an active mentor of junior lawyers.

Andrea was raised and educated in Saskatchewan before moving to Calgary in 1997.  She and her husband Chad are parents of two great children who are passionate about hockey, figure skating and equestrian sports.
