Our 2022 Chief Youth Courage Award recipient for YouthLink Calgary is twelve-year-old, Kaysaan! After moving to Calgary from Ottawa, Kaysaan joined YouthLink Calgary for one of their P.D. Day Camps. While attending the camp, Kaysaan stood out to camp leaders due to his leadership skills, inquisitive nature and positive attitude.
Kaysaan also took the initiative to apply to be YouthLink Calgary’s 2022 Program Ambassador. As part of his application, Kaysaan submitted a very well-written essay highlighting his passion for equality and diversity.
Kaysaan strongly believes in connecting with other youth from all walks of life and hopes to help bridge the gap between young people and police.
Team members from YouthLink Calgary are continuously impressed with Kaysaan’s maturity and drive to learn. He is eager to learn more about the community policing model in Calgary and hopes to share his newfound knowledge with youth throughout the community.
We are excited to present Kaysaan with his award and cannot wait to see the impact he has as YouthLink Calgary’s 2022 Program Ambassador. Great job, Kaysaan!
